Given the growing importance of business incubators in the region, in 1999 the Telecommunication Development Advisory Group decided to initiate an incubators project for the region, to which end it was decided to accept the application by Peru to accommodate such an initiative within INICTEL. This incubators project, carried out between ITU and INICTEL Peru and drawing on the Brazilian experience, has provided excellent results.
