A Theory-Driven Corporate Venturing Framework

ABSTRACT
Currently there are no corporate entrepreneurship frameworks which explain why predominant modes of corporate venturing vary from country to country. To address this, we integrate institutional and resource dependence theory using the same basic structural contingency
framework adopted by earlier corporate venturing researchers for their internally focused frameworks. Using this model, we analyze the external institutional and economic conditions in the United States and Spain and the corresponding entrepreneurial activity.
